Where to Eat Lunch on Baronne Street

Baronne Street at lunch is a working street. People have a meeting at 1:30 and a desk after that. Namaste Nola fits that window. Lunch runs 11:00 AM to 2:45 PM, seven days, at 201 Baronne Street, Suite B.

The official city visitor guide treats restaurants as part of the trip, not a side note (New Orleans restaurants). For people who already live or work downtown, the useful detail is simpler: the kitchen is open, the walk is short, and the plate is Indian.

What fits a workday

Rice, bread, and a curry travel well back to an office if the meeting runs long, and they also sit fine at a table if you have the hour. Biryani is a full plate. A tandoor kebab with bread is faster to share. Vegetarian coworkers are not stuck with a side salad. Paneer, lentils, and cauliflower are on the menu.

Twain called lagniappe "something thrown in, gratis, for good measure" (Life on the Mississippi). Lunch here is not a free extra. It is the meal. The extra is that you can be back on Baronne before the afternoon block starts.

If the table is for more than two

Reserve when the group is larger than a walk-in usually holds. Four people at noon on a weekday still do better with a time. If the lunch is actually a client meal with a set menu, use the parties form instead of a regular reservation.

Dinner is a separate service, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Do not assume the kitchen is open between 2:45 and 5:00.
